An educational institution portal (school, university, college) is an information platform with sections for applicants, students/learners, parents, and staff. Functionality ranges from simple brochure website to comprehensive learning platform.
Sections for Different Audiences
For applicants: curricula with requirements and dates, entrance exams, online application submission, admissions campaign news.
For students/learners: class schedule, personal account with grades, assignments and deadlines, electronic journal, access to learning materials.

Electronic Journal and Gradebook

Schedule
Public class schedule with filters by group/class, teacher, classroom. Export to iCal for personal calendar integration. Push notifications on changes.
Online Document Submission
Applicant fills form, uploads documents (transcripts, passport, photo scans). Admissions committee sees applications in CMS with status change capability (accepted / additional documents requested / rejected). Email notifications at each stage.

News and Events
News feed, event announcements (conferences, competitions, holidays), photo galleries. Teachers and press service publish independently via CMS.
